Default Fire Prevention Programs for Children

Hey guys! I'm just curious to know if any of you participate/volunteer in programs that teach children how to prevent fires. Back when I lived in Wyoming, I used to participate with our PTA and local fire department in seminars that taught children how to prevent fires and taught them what to do if there was one around. I feel that this is SO crucial to learn and children are the most susceptible to danger because of a lack of knowledge.

Anyway, I was wondering if California had on-going programs like these. They are SO helpful.
